Kids in the Kitchen

I have been a Mommy for almost 7 years now. Ever since my oldest son Christian was big enough to stand on a chair up to the table I've had him helping me in the kitchen. He really enjoys helping me make supper at night. Especially Pizza! We have some pretty artistic pizzas when he's helping me!! he he

I have two little boys now. My youngest, Aiden, is more interested in eating the ingredients than he is adding them to whatever it is we are making!! ha ha But, I'm sure over time he will catch on. I have so much fun getting my boys in the kitchen with me!!

I think it's so important to get your children or grandchildren to help out when you are baking or cooking. It shows them responsibility as well as teaches them skills that will stick with them all of their lives. It's also a great way to bond!!

In this video I show you how to make one of our favorite recipes!! Sugar Cookies!! This is my go to recipe on wet, cold, yucky days when we can't get out of the house. It gives us something to do and a really great treat to eat!!

Valentine's Day

It may seem strange to some people but my Husband and I do not celebrate Valentine's Day. I'm not sure why we don't, we really never have. All through out the year he buys me flowers, candies and other things to let me know how much he loves me. We do not need just one day for that.

Now, I'm not totally against Valentine's Day!! It is such a cute Holiday. My little boys hand out Valentine's Day cards to their family and friends and I love to bake Cupcakes and Cookies themed around the Holiday. I even decorate my house a little!!

I've often heard it said that "The way to a person's heart is through the stomach" I truly believe that!! If you take the time to make someone a meal or a dessert it shows how much you care about them. It doesn't matter how hard or simple the dish is, just the fact that you thought enough of them to make them something will make anyone feel special.

I was so excited to find a recipe for *Pink* Velvet Cupcakes!! I made them last night for a new video on my YouTube Channel. They are super yummy and the pink is really pretty. Here is the link to the video!! Please watch and leave a comment!! :)

New Youtube Channel

Hello Everyone!!

I just started a new channel on Youtube!! I'm so excited about it. It's called The Country Cook. It will be videos of me cooking all kinds of different foods. So far I have 4 videos up and I'm already planning on doing some more!!

I have such a huge passion for cooking. It's something I love to do. It's very relaxing and gives me such joy!! I love to cook a meal and see my family eat and enjoy it.
